Installation shots of the space where my new painting, Los Angeles Skyline [Dusk] is hanging. The opening reception is Thursday, Oct. 9 from 7-10pm.

For those in town, the address is The Continental Building, 408 South Spring Street (at 4th Street). There are storefront windows looking in on the exhibition (on the East side of Spring) and Public Parking (on the West side of Spring). See you there!

After a long search, I found an amazing studio space on Venice Boulevard. Getting settled in and back to work after the move in November 2006.

Holiday Group Art Show - Gower Lofts (Hollywood, CA)

I participated in a Holiday Group Show in December along with 6 other artists. The weekend long show was a chance for us to show new work and to help raise money for a great charity thru silent auctions of various prizes and an original piece of art donated by each of the artists.

The following pictures are from the October 6th opening reception of the show "Among The Shadows" at the Claremont Forum Gallery. The four monochrome works displayed are from the series Portraits of Sculpture - Real or Imagined. The closeup is of the painting Giacometti's Head. Acrylic on paper. 19 x 30 inches.

These also represent my first try at creating custom handmade and handpainted frames for my own artwork.

Below are pictures from the opening reception at the Brand Library Art Gallery in Glendale, CA on July 8, 2006. The seascape I painted, La Bufadora - Tide Rocks, is on display through August 25. This event preceded the Glendale Open Studio Tour on July 9 where over 70 artists in the city opened up their workspaces to the public.

This piece was painted plein air during a weekend trip to La Bufadora in Baja, Mexico in October 2004.

Three urban landscape paintings are on display at the newly opened Cafe Cafe at 201 S. Broadway (at the SE corner of Broadway and 2nd St) in Los Angeles. All works for sale, with a discount if purchasing all three paintings together!

The following images document a mural I completed which is based on a Rodin exhibition I saw at the Villa Medici Museum in Rome in 2001. The final piece measures 76 1/2 x 73 in.
