Brad Reyes grew up immersed in the visual and performing arts in the Midwest . The intersection of his youthful artistic passions and his life diverged for the ten year period from 1990 to 2000 when he worked in the corporate world, traveling the United States extensively and even expatriating to Tokyo , Japan for three years.

The sudden passing of his father near the end of 2000 signaled that his life needed what he thought was new purpose and meaning. In reality, the time came to go back and reconnect with that which was suspended ten years prior. So, in January 2001 while living in New York, Brad Reyes (re)embarked on his artistic journey when he enrolled in his first sculpture class at the Art Students League of New York and met his first teacher and guide, Leonid Lerman. From there, he studied with Lerman at the International School of Art in Umbria, Italy. After returning to the United States, Brad attended the New York Studio School in 2002 as the recipient of the Agostini Sculpture Award in recognition of his burgeoning sculptural talent.

In 2003, Brad moved to Los Angeles. Shortly after arriving, he expanded his artistic range through his commercial partnerships as set designer and props designer with numerous theatrical and opera companies in Southern California including the Los Angeles Opera, Shakespeare Orange County, and the University of Southern California Thornton Opera. In 2005 he was commissioned to create sculptures for the premier of an opera co-produced by The Juilliard School, USC, and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. His affiliation with USC deepened when he assumed the role of Exhibition Designer for the USC Fisher Museum of Art.

In September 2007, he established Sustainable Creations LLC, an art and design business whose primary mission is to create environment-friendly paintings and sculptures with earth-conscious themes. His aim is to bring awareness to the need for a different (and better) way of creating not only art, but the structures and environments in which we live.

Most recently, Brad completed a project as a scenic sculptor for a full-length motion picture being filmed at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. The film is due for release in July 2009. As a result of his involvement in this project, he earned membership in Local 755 (see www.local755.com) and will be working on future film-related projects to augment his own artistic creations.
